Polish border areas and Lithuania are a very attractive to tourists regions, conducive to manifold forms of rest. But not everyone knows that these areas have a network of small airports and airstrips, so that everything that both regions have to offer, can be more easily available.
A joint initiative of friendly three flying clubs of the Lithuanian and Polish - the project called "The inauguration of Cross-Border Tourism Aviation" - will bring a wide range of Polish-Lithuanian tourism opportunities, a new group of tourists - tourists airmen.
Ongoing project Areoklub Krainy Jezior (Poland), Aeroklubas Kauno (Lithuania) and Mariampoles Areoklubas (LT) will establish a closer working relationship between the aero-tourism Polish and Lithuanian communities and show the potential of small airports that cross-border the Lithuanian and Polish and interregional flights as interesting and innovative forms of tourism.
To realization the objectives of the project will be organized two international Polish-Lithuanian air raids - one on the Polish side called "Visit to airports of Warmia and Mazury", the second in Lithuania under the name "Visit to airports of Lithuania."
Moreover, issues related to the development of cross-border air tourism in the border areas of Lithuania and the Polish and opportunities for cooperation in this respect different backgrounds, will be devoted to special workshops to be held in Mariampole (Lithuania) and numerous working meetings at the airports visited by aircraft - Rally crew.
